About The Drama School Mumbai

The Drama School Mumbai was established to forge a new generation of theatre-makers; professionally trained actor-creator-entrepreneurs. Our vision is to enable a more formalized professional practice in the theatre sector by engaging with and creating opportunities for an expansive network of theatre-makers, educators, masters of the arts, and arts managers to do what they love best and make a living doing it. Our flagship program is a full-time, intensive one-year certificate course in acting and theatre-making. The faculty for this comprises active theatre practitioners - actors, playwrights, directors, theatre designers, and producers. The Drama School Mumbai also works to promote the awareness of theatre and its processes to a wider audience interested in exploring and understanding the medium for themselves through shorter workshops, lectures, and regular presentations of work.
